THIS IS A FREE DOWNLOAD! But if you want to buy us a coffee or two, you can pay whatever you want. Here's what we originally wrote about the track
The song bleed describes a feeling somewhere between sadness, almost depression and joy and the consciousness that life has its ups and downs.
Most people who have heard the song so far only get the sad part: Life is full of pain and one must struggle to get through it. They get that the persona “bleeds,” i.e. is hurt and that the pain does not stop.
But the persona also says “I'm still alive – and so are my dreams and my desires.” So in other words, he or she sees the positive aspects of life as well and has realised that there's good and bad and that the struggle belongs to life. It refers to the Chinese philosophy of yin and yang. It is also a tip of the hat to NIN and Johnny Cash's Hurt where it says: “I hurt myself today to see if I still feel, I focus on the pain, the only thing that's real.
The story behind writing this song is that I feel that I have two sides myself – just like with the song, most people don't know my darker side. This often only comes out in my songs, it is like a vent for me to talk about emotions that I rarely ever talk about. I do feel that life is rarely all good, nor is it all bad either. I have to admit, though, that I highly distrust people who are always happy and who are loved by everyone. If you don't have any moments of doubt, there must be something wrong with you. In the end, though, life is great and one should never give up on their dreams.
lyrics
Bleed
Chorus
I still bleed, I'm still alive
It might be painful, I'll survive
I still breathe, I'm still alive
And so're my dreams and my desires
I still bleed
Verse 1
When you hurt me,
I won't complain (No, I won't)
Where there's laughter
There are tears, too
And where there's joy
There will also be pain
Chorus
Verse 2
Sometimes the pain
Is the only friend you have
It's in your veins
And the hurt just shows you
What it means to live
Chorus x 2
Break
Chorus x 3

What happens when you lock a DJ who is into electro & trance and a singer songwriter whose favorite is rock music in a room
together? Either they fight or start making great music together. That's what happened when the two members of rabbitinabar met. Electronics and guitars fuse to make up their sound.
The name comes from a failed attempt at telling a joke, but that's a story for another time....more
